Raindrops of Sapphire, is a personal blog that belongs to Lorna. Why I fell in love with her blog specifically coz she remains very true to herself. She's all about Denim. Most of the blogs today are 'obsessed' with the 'Brand' that needs to be part of their blogs. I've never understood why should just 'Chanel' or a 'Prada' bag need to make you look like a fashion statement.

Lorna on the other hand, looks amazing in Denims!! I love the way she styles herself and shes been featured as Top 10 Blogs of 2011 along with H&M magazine and great additions (you can read more about them on her blog :) I'm featuring my favorite looks of hers! Isn't she gorgeous?? Shes been an absolute doll and now one of my favorite blogger buddies too!! Sweet as candy, Lorna and I had a great chat here it goes ;)

1) Firstly you have a great blog and welcome to F.E! What inspired you to start your blog and tell us about your work?

Thank you! I was inspired to start my own personal style and fashion blog because I wanted to share what I loved most with people. I started doing reviews of jeans on DenimBlog and then I decided I would like people to know more about my outfits and my style, that's when I chose to set up my own blog for that.

2) Tell us about your blog -Raindrops of Sapphire

Raindrops of Sapphire is basically what I call my fashion outlet. It's a website where I can share my passions, my likes and everything else with my readers. I will always remain true to myself though, so if I don't like something then I definitely wont post about it. Everything you see on my blog is everything I would wear and things that I love. As the time has gone on though, I've also started to include things about what I get up to, as well as fashion. I sometimes run giveaways/contests too. The one thing I love though is communicating with my fans and readers, I love their opinions on things and I read every single comment that gets left on my blog and reply to pretty much all of them. I think it's important to be accessible.

3) I love the fact your all about the love for Denim. How do you stay inspired with ideas for your posts?

Thank you! I absolutely love denim! I pretty much eat, sleep and breathe the wonderful blue fabric! I'm not exactly sure where my love for denim came from, but it's been many many years. Since I was about 13 or 14 I started liking jeans (I'm 23 now) and then at around 16/17 I started venturing into premium denim and haven't looked back. It's all about the beautiful washes, the fits and everything else. I can't get enough of jeans!

As for my inspiration, it usually comes from myself. I'm always having ideas and putting things together in my mind, so I post about them. Sometimes though I might see something on someone else and think that looks really nice, then spot another item of clothing on another person and think, ooh those two would go perfectly together. I get inspiration all over. Another place I love to look though is LOOKBOOK.nu, I love that place! People have such creativity in their style sometimes!

One fashion accessory that you cant do without.

This is a tough one! I would probably say something like jewellery or a scarf, either of those seem to be what I wear most.

Fashion means.....

I know it's a common one, but it means a lot to me, it's pretty much turned into how my life is. I'm always thinking about clothes, always looking online at clothes and I find that fashion is the perfect way to express yourself. I love bright colours, so I always find myself wearing something bright. I think that expresses that I like to try to be positive and be happy. But always wearing jeans, that sort of means to me that I'm grounded and like classic things too. Fashion is just the perfect form of expression and creativity! It's art, but you can wear it :)

5) If you could give one piece of style advice, what would it be?

Never opt into a trend if it doesn't work for you! That's the biggest piece of advice I could give. Just because a certain trend is popular and everyone is wearing it, if it looks terrible on you and really unflattering (I've been there) don't wear it. Pick something else that will flatter and enhance your shape and it will look miles better!

6) Who is your fashion icon?

Actually, I'm not sure I have one in particular. I love a lot of celebs that wear denim, my favourites there would be Jessica Alba, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Ashley Tisdale and Hilary Duff. Those ladies have great sense of denim style and it's always put together, but in a casual and simple way. I love that!

7) Finally, who/what is your greatest source of inspiration?

I would actually say denim is. My inspiration comes from seeing a pair of jeans and thinking things through in my head as to what would look great with them. But as I mentioned above, I also love LOOKBOOK.nu and other fashion bloggers blogs, it's always nice to see what other people are wearing.

8) Would you recommend any tips for people who want to start their own fashion blog?

Definitely! If you want to start up your own fashion blog, it needs to be original, have your own content, be true to who you are. If you post about the same sort of things that other people post about, it's not as interesting as it would be if you posted things that represent who you are and the things you like. That's what I have found! It's definitely fun though, hard work, but fun! :)
